hope is what carries us forward
it helps us to excel everyday
for our hope is not placed in the knowledge of this world
but in the eternal grace of the one and only
our true strength, Jesus Christ

although this world may close in all around you
like a plague it invades our hearts and souls
corrupts us to its evil thoughts
taints the very foundation we have built our life upon
in that moment you will know
who you are and what you stand for
for He who is with us is far greater than he who is with them

As the ancient prophet of old Elisha said,

"Don't be afraid, Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.  O Lord, open his eyes so he may see."  Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.  As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, "Strike these people with blindness."  So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.
    2 Kings 6:16-18

we may not know what God has planned for our lives
but we should not be afraid
for God is watching over us
protecting us
leading us
bringing us back to Him

Do not forget who you are and what God has done for you.
For it is easy to forget and hard to remember.

I made a promise a long time ago
to a Pastor that has long since gone
Took an oath, a step of faith
Promised these two things
for me and my future family

As for me and my house we will praise the Lord.
Forever...

I am older now
not as young as use to be
I am different now
for no one can stay the same
but one thing I will not forget, one thing I will always remember
is that day I stood up and made that pledge.
for it has changed my life
for now and forever
Amen.

A New Journey

Hi everyone, it has been a long time since i've posted here last, lots have happened, and i really can't believe its been 3 months inbetween posts, oh well here it goes...

so Cleveland anyone?  That is where I'll be moving to in less than 3 weeks! I can't wait, a new city, a new adventure and new people...should be a good time.  I have been wanting a change of pace especially this summer, i have been praying about it for sometime and just got a job offer there for the summer at an internship program that I really wanted to get into.  It's crazy to think i'll be leaving and moving in a short amount of time, but i really can't wait.  I give my two weeks notice this monday at my current place of employment, should be interesting, i guess i'm moving up in life.

frut has consumed a large chunk of my life for the past 3 to 4 months.  It has been a great ride and should get even better.  I just am so thankful for the people God has placed into my life to get this business up and running.  It is truly an awesome thing to be a part of and I can't wait to see where God is going to take it.  Our websites should be up in a month or so and then I'll give you all some links to go visit.

reading.  it has been crazy, i have read two books since school let out and am currently in my third book.  I love summer for this very reason that i can just lay back and read, gain knowledge and let my brain slip into another reality in which i can get away from this world for a bit.  Harry Potter 7, i really can't wait.

friends.  it has been good to be in indy and hanging out with some of the people here.  everyone seems to be leaving indy this summer so in one way i'm glad to be leaving, but at the sametime i'll miss some of it.  Last night i played the game munchkin bites with 2 of my good guy friends, david and eric, and let's just say we played for 4 hours straight, ya hardcore, but i was able to kill the monsters, steal the treasure and bite my buddy in the back to win the game, so it felt great. lol

a journey.  i'm excited about where God is going to take me.  i feel like i have been waiting for something like this a change of scene - a chance to meet new people and at the same time reconnect with those I know in Cleveland.  i can't believe i'm a senior in college, it seems like i just started yesterday.  I can't say i'm not ready to be done with college, b/c i am, it just is weird getting older and looking back, wishing somethings could be different but knowing that God has shaped your path and knkows what is best for you.  So I guess I'll just live moment to moment, memory to memory.  it'll all work out i just know it.

thanks for reading and i hope your summer is rockin so far too!

If you want to walk on water, you have to get out of the boat.
Talk is cheap, it takes action to make things happen.

at the point in life

a crossroads

where two paths are developing

for the first time in years

the fog has finally cleared

to show two distinct ways

one of lazyness

one of discipline

one of sitting back and watching life

one of taking risk and making life happen

one of not caring

one of caring

one of hoping things go right

one of preparing for things to go right

which one should i take?

the time is now

the fields are being plowed

for the rain is about to come

for the floodgates are about to open

will you be prepared?

will you be ready?

I choose to plow

I choose to prepare

I choose to let God pour out his blessings when He is ready

Until then I will prepare for those blessings

so that when the time comes I will not be caught off guard

but will be ready to recieve the blessings that flow from above

to prepare or not to?

that is the question

to strive to give your best to God

or to go away from Him...

the time is now

it has always been now

when life gets hard

you can either fold

or take it

it is time to pray and push back

let God go before you and fight the battles that loom ahead

those battles that give you fear

and make you tremble

Know that God is with you

so why are you afraid?

for if He is with you

who therefore can be against you?

For our God is Mighty and Powerful

unlike anything this world has ever seen or will see.

He is my rock, my hope, and my future.

therefore when the trials of this world get tough

and the road disappears into the night

i will walk by faith

knowing my God leads me

in failure or victory

in defeat or joy

in good times and in the bad

I will praise the Lord

For in Him I am made whole

for when I am weak

He is strong

In my times of desperation

His glory is made known

so what path will you choose?

I have made my decision

and I will not look back

but only forward

resting in the grace of the Lord

for it is there that true joy runs abundantly

will you join me?

because life beckons

and so does God

the choice is clear

but the decision is yours

one or the other

which will you choose?

-praying for you my friend.

"All this I have told you so that you will not go astray."

-John 16:1

"Until now you have not asked for anything in my name.  Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete."

-John 16:24

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart! I have overcome the world."

-John 16:33

Do you believe?

I do.

Jesus replied,

"The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.  I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed.  But if it dies, it produces many seeds.  The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.  Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.  My Father will honor the one who serves me.

Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say?  Father, save me from this hour?  No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.  Father, glorify your name!

Then a voice came from heaven,  "I have glorified it, and will glorify it again."

John 12: 23-27

I hope that was as encouraging to you as it was to me.
